Iraqis condemn suicide attacks, blame foreigners

Foriegners in this case would be Syrians, Jordanians, Palestinians and Saudis.

“They are criminals. Syrians, Palestinians and Jordanians from the Arab world. Iraqis wouldn’t do this,” said Saeed, a retired oil worker whose son was wounded in Monday’s attack on the Red Cross (ICRC) office which killed a dozen people.

This strategy, the Somalia strategy, is something we knew they would do because it worked during the 90s. As unfortunate as it is that we are continuing to lose troops, I think that their strategy is going to backfire. Rather than mobilizing Iraqis against American occupations, colateral damage against Iraqi civilians is mobilizing them to our side. As long as we don't cut and run, I think the Iraqis are going to become more and more willing to point out those who are commiting these attacks.
