Is there Evil?:

The events that are coinciding with this election may be forcing a referendum on the nature of radical Islam similar to an earlier one on Soviet Communism. Is radical Islam a political problem to manage with our allies and the U.N. or an implacable enemy, a radical evil, that is simply trying to kill us?

I'm inclined to believe the latter. It takes a deep hatred or depravity to extinguish 3,000 lives for a political motive. I don't know what else to call that but evil. I've been working long hours, so I haven't kept up with the news, but my understanding about the majority of the attacks in Iraq yesterday is that they were against civilian targets. Iraqi civilians. So you fight the occupier by attacking your own people? Why doesn't anyone point that out. This isn't about fighting an occupation, it's about causing murder and mayhem. That's evil.
